1unitZest of 1 orange (optional, for added flavor)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture, and mix until well combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
Fold in the white chocolate chips, dried cranberries, and optional orange zest until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Using a tablespoon or a cookie scoop, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden but the centers still look slightly soft.
Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Serve the cookies in a festive tin or platter, and garnish with a sprinkle of powdered sugar for a touch of elegance.
