Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread the drained sliced peaches evenly across the bottom.
Sprinkle the cinnamon and nutmeg evenly over the peaches.
Evenly pour the yellow cake mix over the peaches, ensuring full coverage.
Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix, allowing it to soak through in some areas but leaving the top mostly dry. This will create a crisp topping.
Sprinkle the brown sugar evenly on top of everything. If using, sprinkle the chopped pecans or walnuts for added crunch and flavor.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the cake is golden brown and the edges are bubbly.
Remove from the oven and let cool for about 10 minutes.
Serve warm, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream on top.
